The Garden Of Surreal Dreams

I am working on a second album which is completely different from my electronic album "The Grey Room" as it is an electronic Chill-Out album. 3 years ago I wrote 14 or 15 songs and did very rough demo's using Piano, Strings and Choir sounds and did n't really progress with the material as i was unsure what direction to take the album, finally I have settled on a direction in which to take these songs and decided to go down the "Chill-Out" route.

During the last 3 years I have recorded a few versions of some of the songs, most notably vintage synth versions of "Quiet Splendour", "A Moment With You", "The Long Goodbye" and "A Glance In Your Direction" but again the project ground to a halt as I did n't really want to go down the route of recording a full album using old analog synths as I felt the songs would n't stand out enough.

I have recorded 5 songs which are completely different from what has previously been heard a prime example of this is the song "Quiet Splendour" the new version sound fresh and vibrant, see for your self as it is available on my Music Player.

Without a doubt the original songs recorded have something really special about them and this new direction I am taking them will hopefully show what a good set of songs they really are, they are very thought provoking and moving. The material is very personal for me as many sad events have inspired me when writing this music.

This album is being recorded with modern day Synthesizers such as reFX Nexus (One of the best Software Synthesizers I have ever used!), Native Instruments FM8 and Absynth together with my Korg M1 Synthesizer.

Once again I am using some cutting edge VST effects and Mastering software which i am sure will provide a very well produced album when it is finished, this album definitely has the potential to be something else, I honestly believe that.

The album will be completed in 2010 with full Demo's recorded of 5 songs including the title track which is a brand new composition.

Definitely something to look forward to.
